My name is Caroline, fondly nicknamed Carola or Chuu by friends, and I am the author of SNOW.
I have no idea what to write here, but I'll give it a shot:

I'm fairly young, but I've been writing and making up stories pretty much all my life. 'SNOW' will be my first real novel, and I'm really excited about it!!
I don't have a degree, or even an education in writing, but I might just change that in the near future. Nevertheless, I decided to do this now.
When it comes to my writing, there are three questions I'm always being asked, so I thought I'd just answer them here:

* "Why do you write in English?"
- It just feels more natural to me. I started learning English when I was 5, and by the time I was in my early teens, I used it more than my native Norwegian. I think in English, so I write in English. This might make my writing a little odd - but let's call it unique, shall we? Whenever I try to write in my own language, it just comes off as mediocre. And if I don't feel comfortable with what I've written, then why would anyone enjoy reading it? So I'm sticking with English for the time being.

* "Why Japan?"
- I've been fascinated by Japan and the Japanese culture for years, since I was very young. Still, it happened by chance that SNOW ended up taking place in Japan. By the time I had started developing the characters, the setting had sort of settled by itself, and it ended up being a story about teenagers in Tokyo.
I am aware that everything's not rosy in Japan, and that my novel might be overly optimistic at times, still, let's not blame that so much on my bias, and focus more on the positive nature of the main character. *laugh*

* "Why Boylove?"
- I suppose this is more personal prefrence than anything else. Being a hardcore yaoi fan, I'm completely taken by the Boylove genre. Everything I've written over the past years have included homosexual relationships in one way or other. But in addition to the genre being a personal favorite of mine, I also feel like there aren't enough stories out there on the theme that feel real and interesting. I feel like the barriers that are left need to be broken down, and this is my way of helping! ^-^

Aside from writing, I have one big passion: Animals.
I currently live with my rabid cat, and slightly calmer rabbit, while dreaming of getting more pets - even though I'm allergic.
I'm a member of the local animal rights group, and I like spreading the word on how important animal care and welfare is.

Aside from that, I like to play around with graphic design, play games and watch movies. I cosplay when I get the chance, and spend time with friends.
Although I mostly find myself on the couch; reading, writing and listening to music.

...I guess I should stop here for now. I'm honestly not a very interesting person, but if you enjoy the novel, then thank you! ^-^
